During a recent weekend-trip to my hometown I discovered a long lost and forgotten Sisley sweater in the back of my old wardrobe. I was clearing out ancient stuff - and there it was. Nine years old, at least! Never thought i'd wear it again, but I actually love how it's cut. So, that's it. I'm never throwing out old clothes again. Ever.

Während eines kürzlichen Wochenend-Trips in meine Heimatstadt fand ich beim Ausmisten meines alten Kleiderschranks einen lang, lang vergessenen Sisley-Pullover - locker neun Jahre alt. BLACK + WHITE + RED

In this post I am wearing my new monki jeans. It's actually the first time for one of us is to wear jeans in a picture :)

It was the first pair of high-waist jeans I tried on and they fit perfectly. Never happended to me before... I like to combine black with white and red. A classic choice.

In diesem Post trage ich meine neuen monki Jeans. Tatsächlich ist es das erste Mal, dass eine von uns Jeans auf den Bildern trägt :) Die Hose war die erste High-Waist Jeans, die ich anprobiert habe und sie hat perfekt gepasst. Das ist mir noch nie passiert... Ich kombiniere schwarz gerne mit weiß und rot. Eine klassische Wahl.

THE OVERSIZED BLAZER

"Weekday - final sale? I'm there!", I thought. That's where I found this great Cheap Monday blazer. Believe it or not, I got it for € 10 (down from € 80). I love the classic touch it adds to every look and also its versatility: on the photos I'm wearing it (quite conventionally) with a slightly transparent Monki blouse. But you can just as well dress it down with say a t-shirt and denim shorts or combine it with skinny jeans and stilettos. A must-have for every wardrobe if you ask me. In the end, it all comes down to the good old classics more often than not.

"Weekday-final sale? Ich bin dabei!", dachte ich mir. Dort fand ich dann auch den wunderbaren Cheap Monday-Blazer. Ich habe ihn für sage und schreibe 10 Euro (von 80 Euro herunter gesetzt!) erstanden. Besonders mag ich die klassische Note, die er jedem Look verleiht. Ebenso ist er aber auch vielseitig einsetzbar uns wandlungsfähig: Man kann ihn sowohl zu T-Shirt und Shorts als auch zu Röhrenjeans und Stilettos tragen. Ein Must-Have für jeden Kleiderschrank, wenn ihr mich fragt. Letztendlich greifen wir doch immer wieder gerne auf die guten alten Klassiker zurück.

NOBODY LIKES YOU WHEN YOU'RE 23

It was my birthday last week and although according to Blink 182 turning 23 is not a good thing, I had a wonderful time. It actually felt like a whole birthday week because my parents visited me the weekend before the big day. Uuuuhh I got a bunch of new stuff you're gonna see here soon. My actual birthday was on Wednesday and basically I did nothing. Except eating the most delicious tartlets from a cute patisserie and unwrapping presents ;)
On Saturday I invited some friends over to my place to round off my birthday week.
As you can see Sabrina and I were there. The people in the background wanted to stay anonymous so we cut off their heads :D

Sabrina was wearing a shirt from Gina Tricot (one of the few pieces that we both own) with (my) jeans shorts and a necklace from six. I was wearing a Zara polka-dot dress. I know... peter pan collar - again. Stockings - again. So sorry, I'll try to mix it up a little next time. It's just a style I really love.

Letzte Woche hatte ich Geburtstag und obwohl es laut Blink 182 ja nicht so erstrebenswert klingt, 23 zu werden, hatte ich eine tolle Zeit. Eigentlich hat es sich sogar wie eine ganze Geburtstagswoche angefühlt, denn meine Eltern haben mich am Wochenende vor meinem großen Tag bereits besucht. Ich habe einige neue Sachen für meinen Kleiderschrank bekommen, die ich euch bald zeigen werde. Am Mittwoch hatte ich Geburtstag und habe dem Nichtstun gefröhnt. Fantastische Törtchen von einer süßen Patisserie zu essen und Geschenke auszupacken hat mir vollkommen gereicht ;)
Am Samstag habe ich dann ein paar Freunde zu mir eingeladen, um die Geburtstagswoche abzurunden. Wie man sieht waren Sabrina und ich da. Die lieben Menschen im Hintergrund wollten lieber anonym bleiben, daher haben wir ihnen die Köpfe abgeschnitten :D

Sabrina trug ein Shirt von Gina Tricot (eines der wenigen Teile, die wir beide besitzen) mit (meinen) Jeansshorts und einer Kette von six. Ich habe mich in mein Zara Tupfen-Kleidchen geschmissen. Ich weiß... Peter Pan Kragen - schon wieder. Kniestrümpfe - schon wieder. Tut mir Leid, ich werd's in der Zukunft ein bißchen abwechseln. Ich bin eben zur Zeit ein bißchen verliebt in diesen Stil. DIY: BUTTONS!

This post is a premiere for us: our first DIY! Paulina turned buttons into earrings and Sabrina decorated her new high-waisted bikini with multicolored buttons.









For the earrings you need glue that sticks on plastic and metal, the back part of earstuds (you can find both at an art support store) and of course the buttons of your choice. What you should keep in mind is that you have to remove the eyelet. I chose buttons with plastic eyelets that were pretty easy to cut off with scissors. Afterwards I filed the surface to make it as even as possible. Then I put on some glue and waited for 12 h. Well, I didn't exactly wait 12 hours at first. After a few hours I wanted to try them on but the glue was still fluid, so the buttons fell off immediately. I glued it together again and this time waited 12 hours :)

Für die Ohrringe braucht man Bastelkleber, der auf Plastik und Metall hält, den hinteren Teil von Ohrsteckern (beides findet man im Bastelladen) und natürlich die Knöpfe seiner Wahl. Man sollte bedenken, dass man die Knopföse irgendwie entfernen muss. Ich habe mir Knöpfe mit Plastiköse ausgesucht, die ließen sich einfach mit einer Schere abschneiden. Danach habe ich die Oberfläche mit einer Feile bearbeitet, damit die Oberfläche so flach wie möglich wird. Anschließend habe ich die Stecker mit den Knöpfen zusammengeklebt und 12 Stunden gewartet.
Naja, erstmal habe ich keine 12 Stunden gewartet... Nach ein paar Stunden wolle ich sie nämlich unbedingt anprobieren, aber der Kleber war noch flüssig und die Knöpfe sind sofort abgefallen. Also hab ich sie nochmal neu geklebt und dieses Mal 12 Stunden gewartet :)

I already loved my high-waisted bikini with its classic, clean-cut style when I first ordered it on Asos.com. However, I couldn't help but try to think of a way to jazz it up a tad. When I found these gorgeous multi-colored buttons I immediately thought that they would go well with my new bikini - they definitely accentuate its 60s look. So I tried out different ways to arrange them and finally went with this quite conventional pattern. I sewed them on..and done! Oh, and don't worry: the bikini pant does look huge and granny-ish on the photos, but actually looks pretty cool (..or so I like to think).

Ich fand meinen Bikini mit hoher Taille schon toll, als ich ihn das erste Mal auf Asos.com sah. Trotzdem ging mir nicht aus dem Kopf, dass man ihn noch irgendwie etwas aufhübschen könnte. Also habe ich die mehrfarbigen Knöpfe unterschiedlich angeordnet, bis ich ein Muster fand, das mir gefiel, und habe sie dann ganz einfach aufgenäht. Ich finde, sie unterstreichen den 60s Look des Bikinis ganz wunderbar. Und keine Sorge: Die Bikini-Hose sieht auf den Fotos zwar furchtbar riesig und nach Liebestöter aus, macht aber angezogen einen anderen Eindruck. (Jedenfalls behaupte ich das einfach mal..)
