This beautiful pleated shirt found its way from my mum through my brother, who visited me in Australia, to me. It reminded me how much I love and miss COS. I like to wear it with colorful highlights, which are orange in this case. If I had more than one pair(!) of jeans with me in OZ I would have preferred to pair the shirt with a simple dark denim. But who's gonna complain? I'm in Australia!

When I came across the KOSHKA online store recently, a little voice got stuck on repeat in my head, and it goes a little something like this: ”Must. Have. Everything.” Unfortunately, my budget doesn't allow for too much (read: any) shopping at the moment but, well, a girl can dream, right?

A couple of days ago, on a sunny afternoon in Dalston, I took the lovely Nora on a walk around my neighborhood to show her some of my favourite places. A resident of Canary Wharf, she'd never been to the area before and so I slipped into the role of the supposedly all-knowing tourist guide. London Fields and Broadway Market, of course, were obvious destinations on our little tour.
Somewhere along Regent's Canal we stopped to take a couple of pictures which (I'm sure you've already guessed) I included in this post. To see more of Nora's outfits, go check out her blog!

peplum = A short overskirt or ruffle attached at the waistline of a jacket, blouse or dress.

Peplum skirts and dresses were all over the runways during the Spring 2011 shows and it looks like the trend is here to stay. Well, at least for another Spring/Summer season. Plus, it has expanded to shirts and tops.
My love affair with the peplum began when I saw the Katie Ermilio Spring/Summer 2012 presentation last September. The little silhouette-altering ruffle comes in many different variations (high- or drop-waisted, stiff or swinging, longer or shorter) and just gives any clothing item the little playful, feminine je ne sais quoi. Now I just have to decide on the right one for me. Care to help?
THE NECKLACE TRILOGY
Don't worry I did not write a novel about buying jewellery.
Just let me say this: As much as I enjoy wearing pretty necklaces, I don't like buying them. I just don't. And then one of these rare days comes when I want to buy something - until I realise I don't even know what's pretty and what's not. I have no taste at all.
The only reason I have new necklaces now is that my friend Christian was very patient with me and told me which ones were nice. I bought one, then he got me another one for my birthday (thank you♥). After that I felt confident enough to buy necklace number three without him.
All three necklaces are from Sportsgirl, very boring innovative, huh?

SURPRISED BY ZARA
That's what I was, when I recently was browsing the ZARA online shop. I actually fell in love with a lot of pieces! I am not sure though if the fact that there's no ZARA in Brisbane makes me glorify their clothes just because I can't buy them?! But in the past year or so I've noticed that the Spanish super brand is becoming cooler in a way. I always love the lookbooks on their website.
From below I think my favourite piece would be the sand/yellow blouse, I like the unusual color mix.
What do you guys think? Do I simply miss my everyday retailer or is anybody else tempted?

4. Bill Cunningham New York. I wanted to see it before it was in cinemas and still haven't. Is it as good as I think?
5. Burberry Prorsum Ballet Flats. Simply perfect - via net-a-porter.
6. I've always wanted to try Argain Oil for my hair. Any experiences with it?

Hello, hello! I have returned to Brisbane after two months of travel adventures. I will surely post some impressions from the trip, but I took around 3000 pictures so give me some time to look through them.
