VACANZE AL MARE

I'm off! 10 days of sunburn and seawater are awaiting me at the beautiful Adriatic coast, where I've been spending my summers since before I can remember. This also means 10 days without internet access – unfortunate for the blog but fortunate for the internet addict in me who is in dire need of a withdrawal. I'll be back with pictures at the beginning of August. In the meantime, Paulina will be feeding you blog posts.
Hope you're having a wonderful summer wherever you are!

CORAL

Just like the mint craze influenced our shopping behaviour, coral colored clothing, shoes and accessories have invaded our spring/summer wardrobes. Here come our online favourites:

2. Preppy Style Cross Lock Satchel Bag.
3. Monki Erika Skirt.
4. American Apparel Linen Pleated Short.
5. Boutique by Jaeger Trial Boyfriend Voile Shirt.
6. Florida Simple Buckle Sandals.
7. Ally Capellino Lesley Shopper.
8. Topshop Coral Tassel Clip.

ROSES ARE RED

playsuit | Vintage

I've had this playsuit (yes, it is not a dress!) for a while, but I wanted to wait until I am back to most of you guys' season. Now – at least here in Germany – summer hasn't been treating us well, so when the sun came out yesterday I knew the time had come.

How are you spending this summer? Are you escaping to the sun or already shopping fall clothes?

REUNION!

We owe you an apology as it has become rather quiet around here lately. BUT, we do have a valid excuse on hand: the jumelles' reunion after a loooong twelve months of separation! Paulina got back from her adventurous year in Australia at the beginning of July and then pretty much flew straight to London to visit me (YAY!). And between bargain hunting, eating out, cooking, hanging about in cafés, watching movies and drinking gin and tonic there really wasn't time to blog. However, we did document our time together with the help of my cell phone (lugging around my camera for eight days would have been too much of a hassle) to share some impressions with you. Here come the photo descriptions:

1. + 2. TOPSHOP Sale madness.

3. Uniqlo stole our hearts – and our money. Who would have thought?

4. + 5. + 6. Manicure time! We went for bright orange.

7. We met the lovely Nora of Zur Zierde for dinner in Soho and a quick stopover at OFFICE.

8. Window shopping at the Westfield mall in Shepherd's Bush.

9. Lusting after Gucci bags..

10. Rainy rooftop cinema featuring young Tom Cruise in the 80s classic Risky Business.

11. + 12. Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950 exhibition at the Victoria & Albert museum.

13. Posing at the V&A.

14. V&A tickets.

15. Reunited!

16. + 17. Afternoon tea with scones, clotted cream, jam, and Earl Grey.

18. Some more posing at the V&A.

LONDON, BABY!

Excuse our absence from blogging lately. Life got in the way a little bit. I have left Australia and am currently back at my parents in Germany. It was so sad to leave all the friends I have made in this last year. I promise I will post some more picture of Australia soon.

But first: I am going on another trip. And what would be more obvious than going to London? For you this means the partners in crime finally reunite to conquer the blogging world, for me it is mostly about seeing my best friend after one long year

More to come soon...

LIDO

Brace yourselves – because once more I plan on complaining about the current wheather situation in London. Here goes: the wonderful spread I found on Rookiemag.com (see photos above) reminded me that it is actually summer right now and that sweaters and wool tights in fact don't count as summer staples. And since I cannot post any photos of my numerous new sundresses I was planning on wearing by now, I thought I would at least share these photos with you, which really took sun-deprived little me to a better place for a few blissful minutes (wow, that sounded really pathetic). Anywho, about the photos: the setting for the 90s slash mermaid themed shoot is the Saltdean Lido, a beautiful Art Deco outdoor swimming pool near Brighton (UK), looking wonderfully deserted in the pictures. Might be worth a visit.. Well done, Rookies!
